Dapoxetine is a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used to treat premature ejaculation (PE). It enhances serotonin activity in the brain, improving ejaculatory control.
Dosage & Administration
- Starting dose: 30 mg or 60 mg taken 1-3 hours before intercourse.
- Max dose: 120 mg once daily (only if lower doses are ineffective).
- Take with a full glass of water.
- Do not take more than once in 24 hours.
Contraindications
Do not use if:
- Allergic to dapoxetine.
- Taking nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin) or recreational poppers (amyl nitrite).
- Severe heart, liver, or kidney disease.
- History of mania, bipolar disorder, or suicidal thoughts.
Precautions

Serious (seek medical help):
- Priapism (painful erection >4 hours).
- Severe dizziness/fainting.

Overdose & Missed Dose
- Overdose symptoms: Nausea, vomiting, seizures, rapid heartbeat.
